When Katelyn first reached out, she knew exactly what she wanted. "We’ve done styled shoots before, but they just don’t capture our vibe. We’re silly and expressive and I’ve been meaning to book a session like this for a long time!" From that moment, I knew we were in for a lively, fun-filled session and the Smith family did not disappoint.

For Katelyn, Austin and their three kiddos, family game night is a big deal. The competitiveness, the laughter, and all the playful banter make it a core part of their family’s story. So, that’s where we started. I jumped right into the action, capturing the big moments, the small details and all the expressions in between—whether it was a triumph over a win or a playful grin after a mischievous move. This wasn’t your typical “say cheese” photoshoot. It was a real glimpse into their family life and I was there to catch every spontaneous, silly, and sweet moment.

Next up was dinner time, where things got wonderfully messy. The Smith family decided to make their own pizzas, and let me tell you—there was no hesitation to get their hands (and faces) dirty! Between tossing dough, piling on toppings and sneaking bites, the kids’ personalities shined through. The best part? Their littlest one’s dramatic encounter with a spicy peperoncini! One taste, and she was off running for water, her face priceless—and yes, I caught that too!

As the day came to a close, Austin gave me the best compliment a photographer could ask for: "This was the most fun we’ve ever had on a photoshoot!" Mission accomplished. ❤️
These are the kind of moments I love to capture—real, unscripted and totally true to who you are. The Smiths embraced their family’s energy and we ended up with a gallery full of memories that showcase their unique bond.

If you’ve been craving a family photoshoot that reflects the real you, let’s make it happen! I’d love to document the beautiful chaos of your everyday life, just like I did with the Smiths.
